Join Lauren DelVecchio of LAD Photography - Master Wedding Photographer and one of Maine’s leading wedding photography experts, as she guides you through her thoughtful, creative approach to lighting on a wedding day.
Lauren will walk you step-by-step through how she uses light intentionally and artistically during every part of the wedding timeline - from photographing delicate details and capturing the energy of getting ready, to navigating ceremonies, portraits, receptions, and all the unpredictable lighting challenges that come with them. You’ll learn how she consistently produces breathtaking images her clients cherish, no matter the environment or conditions.
In this workshop, Lauren will break down how to handle even the toughest lighting scenarios with confidence. She’ll demonstrate how to use gels to correct tricky color temperatures, tame harsh or unpleasant ambient light, and build dynamic, creative lighting that elevates your images from simple documentation to true artwork. You’ll also learn how to take full advantage of natural light - when to use it, how to shape it, and how to identify the subtle qualities that create beautifully flattering and emotionally resonant photographs. Her goal is to help you understand not just what to do, but why, so you can adapt these techniques to any situation you encounter.
Along with instruction and live examples, there will be short hands-on segments where you can practice what you’re learning in real time. These practical moments are designed to help you build muscle memory, experiment safely, and gain clarity around both the technical and creative sides of lighting.

Biography
Lauren DelVecchio, Master Photographer, Craftsman, Master Wedding Photographer, CPP is a Certified Professional Photographer working out of Farmingdale, Maine. She has supported the photography community through her past service on the Board of the Maine PPA, teaching for several state affiliates, and her membership in the Professional Photographers of America. In addition to this professional involvement, she offers her own independently operated workshops and one-on-one mentoring sessions, separate from PPA and its affiliated organizations. She founded LAD Photography in 2004, shaping it into a studio known for thoughtful, personalized work. Lauren specializes in weddings, high school seniors, and fine art, and also photographs boudoir, fitness, headshots, and families, bringing a calm, collaborative approach to every session.
