Weddings can be tricky, you have no control over your location, time of day or the weather. What happens when it’s all wrong, and you need to make beautiful photographs for your clients, and you don’t have a lot of time to do it? This class will cover all of the different lighting scenarios you might encounter on a wedding day and how to make the most of them with your various lighting options. Although Stephen and Trish will have a wedding focus to this class, it applies to everyone shooting any kind of portrait!

Bios:

Trish has been photographing weddings in the Rhode Island and Southern New England area since 1993 and has been a full-time self-employed wedding photographer since 1997. She received her Master of Wedding Photography Degree from PPA in 2022. Trish has been a member of PPAM since 2017 and is currently the Education Fund and Newsletter Chair. Her superpower is talking with strangers and designing albums. She lives in Rhode Island with her son Isaac and two cats. Her son will be going to college in the Fall, and she will be sunsetting her business this year, so she will most likely become a ‘cat lady’.

Stephen possesses a unique mix of Fine Art, Computer/Internet, and Photographic experience. He earned a BFA at the Swain School of Design. Stephen’s paintings, sculpture and photography are in many public and private collections throughout the country. His passion for photography shows in his work and he enjoys sharing that experience with his photography peers. Awards: Kodak Gallery awards, Fuji Masterpiece awards, Loan Collection, PPA Bronze Photographer of the Year and Court of Honors at PPANE and PPAM. Specializing in weddings, he photographs about 24 a year throughout New England. Bar Mitzvahs, senior portraits, families and schools round out his photographic experience.
