Troubleshooting Your Competition Images
So you know the rules: there are the 12 elements, there are 5 judges and a JC You know the rule of thirds, and think you understand impact, color harmony, story telling, etc., etc. Then it happens. A person reads title of your image. The image flashes onto the screen. You can’t breathe. What a cool image! You are so sure this image will do well. Then the scores come in. WHAAAAT! A score of 77??? Why on earth? What did you miss?
Great questions. Join Ella Carlson, Master Photographer, Master Artist, ASP Fellow and Educational Associate, and five time PPA Diamond Photographer of the Year, for a 2 hour on-line program, “Troubleshooting Your Competition Images.” She’ll talk about how to avoid some of the pitfalls that will keep your images out of merit range, insights from a judging point of view, and she’ll also show you how to fix some of those problem areas with some pretty straightforward Photoshop techniques as well.
Submit your own images for feedback and make this even more customized. Just send them to Ella at least two days before the seminar and Ella will choose as many as possible to speak about. No names will be mentioned. Email your images to ella@ellaprints.com or send them to her via dropbox or wetransfer and then tune in for your competition tune-up.
